Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taco Bueno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cullen Castrello! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bueno lands a nice shot to the body.
Bueno throws a shot from downtown. Castrello moves away and avoids it. Bueno doesn't manage to clinch there - Castrello circles away.
Bueno lands with a cross. Castrello takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Castrello throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Castrello takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Castrello looks to land a right hand but Bueno moved out of range. Castrello looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Bueno tries to score a power double leg takedown but Castrello sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bueno somewhat. Bueno just misses with a punch to the body.
Castrello on the wrong end of a nice hook. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A decent looking body kick lands there for Castrello. Bueno keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Castrello throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Bueno looks to land a left hand but Castrello moved out of range nicely. Bueno misses with a body shot.

Cullen Castrello is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bueno throws a hook but Castrello avoids it easily. Bueno is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bueno throws a right hand that misses
and Castrello counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bueno is lucky that one didn't land flush. Bueno closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Castrello takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Castrello is looking to reverse the position. Bueno trying to control the action but Castrello is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castrello tries to buck Bueno off but Bueno is having none of it. Bueno working the head with strikes. Bueno looks up at the clock and then as Castrello takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bueno smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bueno has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Castrello gets back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Castrello tries to roll over but Bueno keeps him under control. Bueno seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bueno slips a nice elbow through Castrello's hands, connecting with Castrello's forehead. Bueno is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Castrello moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bueno sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Castrello's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Taco Bueno dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bueno drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Castrello struggling a bit here. Bueno is looking for a kimura. He might have it! Bueno looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Castrello with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Castrello wants to get back to full guard. Castrello trying to control from the bottom.
Castrello regains full guard. Nicely done. Bueno tries to free his leg and advance position but Castrello is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bueno trying to control the position from guard on top but Castrello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bueno distracts Castrello with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bueno stopping the sweep attempt from Castrello. Bueno trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Bueno content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Castrello keeping moving, preventing Bueno from controlling successfully. Bueno trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bueno has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bueno trying to control but Castrello is working from the bottom. Bueno distracts Castrello with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bueno is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Castrello can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castrello tries to land a sweep but no joy. Taco Bueno overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Castrello escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bueno gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bueno working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bueno stands up over Castrello, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Castrello is trying to control the position from the bottom.

After the fight, Taco Bueno was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
