PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Pollock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ice Lander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lander's choice of entrance music: Tribute. Jackson Pollock is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollock ducks under a wild hook from Lander.
Lander punishes Pollock's body with a nice straight punch.
Pollock throws a leg kick
and Lander counters with a good, hard body kick but Pollock shrugs it off.
Pollock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lander moves away.
Lander misses with a body kick.
Lander scores with a nice head shot.
Lander lands a leg kick that knocks Pollock off balance momentarily.
Lander takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lander is looking to score with low kicks.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pollock moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pollock lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lander has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lander and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The fighters are battling for position here. Lander manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Lander pushes Pollock off and gets back to his feet.
Pollock dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pollock lands a body shot.
Lander throws a low kick but Pollock moves out of range easily.

Pollock feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lander pushes Pollock off and gets back to his feet.

Lander uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pollock.
Lander rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pollock moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pollock lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lander at a distance.

Pollock gets tackled into the cage by Lander. Lander maintains the clinch.

Pollock has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lander regains guard immediately.

Lander bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pollock's guard.
Pollock wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pollock might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lander sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pollock's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Jackson Pollock will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pollock connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lander. Lander circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lander throws a front kick aimed at Pollock's knee but Pollock avoids it well.
Jackson Pollock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pollock steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lander. That one must have hurt.
Lander slips under a jab.
Pollock avoids the body shot from Lander.

Lander lands with a kick to the temple. Pollock shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Pollock throws a good cross that connects.
Lander throws a leg kick which misses Pollock's front leg but catches the back leg as Pollock tries to avoid it.
Pollock throws a hook to the side of Lander's head but Lander sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lander lets loose with a powerful body kick. Pollock will feel that in the morning.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lander stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lander wants it to stay on the feet.
Lander buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pollock moves out of range of the body kick.
Lander thuds a left hand into Pollock's body.

Lander throws a quick inside leg kick.
Pollock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pollock walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Pollock looks to land a combination but Lander avoids it well.
Lander uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pollock.
Pollock takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Lander scores with a kick to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lander throws out a loose jab but Pollock uses good head movement to avoid it.
