Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Castle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, LeRoy Johnson! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castle throws the kick towards the body but Johnson avoids it. Johnson avoids the head kick by Castle.
Castle gets caught flat footed, as Johnson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Johnson trying to control but Castle is working from the bottom. Castle looking to control.
Johnson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Johnson connects with a high kick. Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Castle is rocked! Johnson controlling the position. Oh Castle is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Johnson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Castle has escaped the position, nice work there. Castle seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castle is looking for a sweep. Castle gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Castle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Johnson in particular looking to stall. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Castle missing with punches from the bottom.
Johnson stalling. Johnson tries to stand and escape but Castle is controlling the position. Castle moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Johnson won't allow Castle to sweep him here. Castle trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Johnson is one step ahead there. Castle is looking to sinch up a triangle. Johnson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Castle's body to avoid the submission. Castle has instead reached around Johnson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Castle arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
