Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Verinen Puukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xerxes LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying LaVey's choice of entrance music: Battle Hymn of the Apocalypse. On his way into the cage it seems that Verinen Puukko has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Verinen Puukko seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Xerxes LaVey!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Puukko does no damage.
LaVey checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Puukko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
LaVey looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Puukko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for LaVey on the ground.
LaVey trying to hold on to Puukko's head to control him but Puukko postures up.
LaVey wants to get back to full guard.
Puukko wants to work for an arm triangle but LaVey is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
LaVey makes his way to full guard. A much better position for LaVey.
LaVey looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

LaVey is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
LaVey is looking for a triangle but Puukko pushes his legs off easily.
LaVey looks gassed!

Puukko lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Puukko stands and throws LaVey's legs to the side, diving into side control.
LaVey tries to control but Puukko manages to take his back.
LaVey grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Puukko has the hooks in. LaVey is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Puukko lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
LaVey is still in real trouble! Can Puukko finish him?
Puukko lands strikes from the back and LaVey isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Verinen Puukko!
