Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lazano De Anda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fanicas Sagorro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Lazano De Anda has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lazano De Anda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fanicas Sagorro!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagorro shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Anda's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
De Anda throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sagorro escapes and throws De Anda's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Sagorro stands up and beckons De Anda to his feet.
De Anda fails in his attempt to clinch.
Sagorro has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
De Anda finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Sagorro avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
De Anda misses with a hook to the body
and Sagorro counters with a single leg into guard. De Anda didn't expect that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sagorro trying to control the position from guard on top but De Anda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sagorro in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sagorro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sagorro stands up from De Anda's guard - Sagorro perhaps looking for a knockout.
De Anda gets caught napping as Sagorro dives in and scores a takedown. De Anda manages to retain guard.
De Anda knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sagorro on the ground.

De Anda throws a front kick aimed at Sagorro's knee but Sagorro avoids it well.

De Anda moves in looking to clinch but Sagorro pushes him off.
Sagorro throws a push kick but De Anda slaps the foot to one side.
Sagorro dodges the punch combination from De Anda.
De Anda wants to clinch.
De Anda fails with the takedown.
De Anda tries to clinch up but Sagorro circles away and keeps his distance.
Sagorro keeps the fight on the outside.
Sagorro throws a right hand that De Anda ducks under and follows up with a left that De Anda also avoids with ease.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Anda tries to clinch but Sagorro moves out of range.
De Anda misses with a double jab.

De Anda closes the distance and clinches.
The referee calls for Sagorro to work.
Sagorro drops to a knee looking for a takedown but De Anda gets the underhooks and prevents it.
De Anda jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sagorro walks away with a smile on his face. De Anda gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
De Anda throws a nice looking combination but Sagorro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
De Anda tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sagorro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

De Anda shoots in looking for a takedown but Sagorro manages to keep the fight standing, pushing De Anda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lazano De Anda. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sagorro moves into range and clinches up with De Anda.
Sagorro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lazano De Anda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Anda clinches up against the cage.
De Anda gets a trip takedown into half guard.
De Anda is controlling the pace.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sagorro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sagorro moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fanicas Sagorro dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sagorro avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
De Anda moves to clinch but Sagorro breaks away
and De Anda takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
De Anda throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
De Anda misses with a double jab.

and Sagorro counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sagorro.
Sagorro slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from De Anda.
Sagorro wants to take a breather but De Anda is having none of it.

De Anda is staying active underneath Sagorro, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sagorro is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Sagorro takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sagorro is trying to control here but De Anda has managed to regain half guard.
Sagorro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and De Anda defends it well.

Sagorro prevents De Anda from improving his position.
Sagorro is looking to take a break and control but De Anda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
De Anda wants to improve his position but Sagorro is controlling well.
De Anda is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sagorro. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
De Anda is looking to control Sagorro's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can De Anda avoid being mounted?
Sagorro takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Fanicas Sagorro wasn't active enough on the ground.
De Anda wants to clinch up but Sagorro keeps it at a distance.
Nice takedown defense from De Anda. No joy for Sagorro on that attempt.
Sagorro slips a jab and a cross from De Anda.

A slow jab from Sagorro misses its intended target.

and De Anda counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

De Anda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sagorro misses with a low kick.
Sagorro with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling De Anda to score with a decent uppercut.
Lazano De Anda is winning the standup battle so far.
Sagorro moves into the clinch successfully.

De Anda goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sagorro prevents it.

Sagorro fails to pull the fight into his guard.

A close second round but Fanicas Sagorro will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
De Anda scores with a one two! Sagorro had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

De Anda is landing with some decent strikes but Sagorro is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
De Anda postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Sagorro bigstyle! Two more strikes land for De Anda and the fight is over!
