Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Roland Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Kingston!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gracie throws out the jab.
Gracie takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gracie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kingston misses with a few strikes there.

Gracie instigates a clinch.
Kingston misses with an elbow over the top.
Come on Gracie - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Kingston has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gracie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gracie is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Kingston wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kingston letting Gracie take a breather here.
Kingston has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kingston looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Gracie will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kingston up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Kingston's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Gracie is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kingston can't fight it off and eventually Gracie manages to take the fight to the floor. Kingston looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gracie content to stall in guard here.
Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Kingston is retaining full guard.
Gracie controls from within his opponent's guard.
Gracie prevents Kingston from getting back to his feet.

Kingston can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Roland Gracie.
Kingston leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kingston takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Gracie throws a body punch but Kingston moves out of range.

Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kingston is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Gracie scores with a jab. Kingston acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Gracie works Kingston's body with a nice hook.

Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.
Gracie content to control rather than advance.

Gracie trying to pass the guard but Kingston defending well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kingston is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Roland Gracie just wasn't active enough.
Gracie swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kingston counters with a two punch combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kingston circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kingston lands with an overhand left.
Gracie lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kingston walks into a straight right hand from Gracie.
Gracie lands the left hand.
Gracie misses with a leg kick.
Gracie throws a jab but it's blocked by Kingston.
Kingston wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
A big left from Kingston misses.
Kingston scores with a jab.
Gracie jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

A slow jab from Gracie misses its intended target.
Kingston lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kingston throws a jab but it's blocked by Gracie.
Kingston fails to land with a series of punches.
Jack Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kingston lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gracie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gracie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Gracie is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Gracie lands with a straight right. Kingston didn't see that one coming.
Sloppy strikes from Kingston. Those never looked like landing.
Kingston moves out of range of the strikes.
Kingston throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily.
Kingston throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Gracie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kingston's half guard.

Gracie wants to pass the guard but Kingston is defending well.

Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Roland Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Gracie lands with a left to the head.
Kingston goes for a takedown attempt but Gracie pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Roland Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Kingston.

Gracie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Gracie is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Gracie looks to land a right hand but Kingston moved out of range.
Gracie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kingston moves to clinch but Gracie breaks away
and Gracie counters with a nice body shot.
Gracie tests Kingston's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Gracie lands with a shot to the body.

Gracie thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kingston takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kingston tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kingston shoots in and drives through. Gracie sprawls well.
Kingston closes the distance but Gracie moves to the side

and Gracie counters by moving into the clinch.

Gracie has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kingston clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
I would not like to be Kingston right now.
Kingston wants to get back to his feet.
Gracie slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Gracie has managed to slip his arm under Kingston's chin. This could be all over... yep, Kingston is tapping out! Submission win for Gracie.
