Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James McCullen Destro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Benoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Destro kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cobra. Benoit has chosen TNT - ACDC as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Benoit does no damage.

Destro tries to clinch up but Benoit circles away and keeps his distance.

It looks like Bobby Benoit has been cut.
Benoit rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Destro counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Destro lands the left hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Destro slips under a jab from Benoit.
The fighters circling - Benoit throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Benoit throws the left hand but Destro avoids the punch easily.
Destro looks to land a combination but Benoit avoids it well.

Destro tries to clinch up but Benoit circles away and keeps his distance.

Benoit throws a nice looking combination but Destro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Destro cracks Benoit with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Benoit throws an overhand right that lands on Destro 's shoulder, as Destro tries to avoid the shot.

Benoit throws a jab when Destro was well out of range.
Destro avoids a punch combination nicely.
Benoit throws a lazy uppercut
and Destro counters with a beautiful punch that sends Benoit to the canvas!

That has opened up Bobby Benoit's cut even more.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Destro thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Benoit is still in real trouble! Can Destro finish him?
Destro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Destro seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Benoit seems to have recovered his senses.
Destro pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Benoit is keeping the position for now.
Destro wants to control from the top but Benoit keeps moving.
Destro is really struggling to control Benoit but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Destro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Destro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Destro pushes down on Benoit's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Benoit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Destro . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Destro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Benoit looks like he's trying to stand up.

Destro maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Benoit could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Destro has cracked it and Benoit is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Destro !

James McCullen Destro decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
