Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mahatma Gandhi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cung Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mahatma Gandhi !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cung Lee!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gandhi shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense.
Lee looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lee.
Nice sprawl there from Lee as Gandhi shoots in.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gandhi keeps the fight on the outside.
Lee stuffs the takedown attempt from Gandhi . Gandhi gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mahatma Gandhi . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Lee tries to clinch but Gandhi moves out of range.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lee seems a little lost for a moment, as Gandhi dominates the positioning.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gandhi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lee has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lee is trying to control Gandhi 's posture but Gandhi avoids it.

Gandhi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lee rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gandhi 's guard! Nice work there by Lee!
Lee tries to stand but Gandhi is controlling from the bottom.
Gandhi pulls Lee in close to prevent any damage.

Lee wants to get up but he can't break Gandhi 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gandhi gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch.
Lee throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Gandhi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Gandhi wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.
Gandhi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Gandhi looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lee stands and steps away. Gandhi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Gandhi swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Lee lands with a nice body kick.
Lee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gandhi .
Gandhi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gandhi misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee closes the distance and pushes Gandhi back into the cage.
Lee tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lee is trying to maintain a safe position but Gandhi gets an underhook and turns Lee into the cage.
Gandhi creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Lee looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Lee content to slow the pace in the clinch.

A bit of stalling here from Lee.

Gandhi has clasped his hands together around Lee's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gandhi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lee is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gandhi goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lee has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gandhi but great work by Lee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mahatma Gandhi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Gandhi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lee did well to prevent Gandhi getting side control.

Gandhi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lee is looking to control Gandhi 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lee avoid being mounted?
Gandhi is trying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Gandhi looking to sit in guard and control but Lee gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gandhi has Lee pulled in close to control his posture.

Lee stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gandhi is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lee can't fight it off and eventually Gandhi manages to take the fight to the floor. Lee looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gandhi stands up and waves to Lee to follow him.

Gandhi shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Gandhi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gandhi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Gandhi throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease.
Lee throws a hook but Gandhi avoids it easily.
Lee leaves Gandhi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gandhi darts in and clinches Lee up against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gandhi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Lee manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Cung Lee.
Gandhi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.
Lee feints and then cracks Gandhi 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gandhi down.
Gandhi shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense.
Lee tries to clinch there but Gandhi circles away.
Gandhi throws a head kick that misses.
Lee wants to clinch up but Gandhi keeps it at a distance.
Gandhi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gandhi off to one side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Gandhi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Gandhi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gandhi is in Lee's guard.

Lee controls Gandhi momentarily but Gandhi frees himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cung Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gandhi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
