Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Aivazovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buket Levkoev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Aivazovsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buket Levkoev! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aivazovsky throws a head kick but Levkoev moves out of range.
Aivazovsky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Levkoev circles away. Aivazovsky throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Aivazovsky closes the distance and clinches up with Levkoev, looking for a takedown. Aivazovsky pushes Levkoev against the cage but Levkoev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Aivazovsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Levkoev sprawls well. He's pushed Aivazovsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Aivazovsky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Levkoev closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Levkoev lands in his opponent's guard. Aivazovsky can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Levkoev controls the pace. Aivazovsky controls Levkoev momentarily but Levkoev frees himself. Levkoev stops Aivazovsky from standing up. Aivazovsky is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aivazovsky wants to stand up but Levkoev is controlling him. Levkoev stands up from Aivazovsky's guard - Levkoev perhaps looking for a knockout. Aivazovsky tries to clinch up. Aivazovsky misses with a takedown and Levkoev counters with a shoot takedown. Aivazovsky fights it but they end up in guard. Aivazovsky is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aivazovsky trying to keep a closed guard but Levkoev is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Aivazovsky misses with a kick to the body and Levkoev decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Aivazovsky's guard. Levkoev won't allow Aivazovsky to sweep him here. Levkoev controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Levkoev trying to control the position from guard on top but Aivazovsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Aivazovsky tries to land a sweep but no joy. Aivazovsky is pulling down on Levkoev's head. It's preventing any offense from Levkoev, at least for the moment. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aivazovsky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Levkoev counters with a takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Aivazovsky is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Aivazovsky trying to control here.

Aivazovsky thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Levkoev's head. Levkoev is looking for a sweep. Aivazovsky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Levkoev is not content to let Aivazovsky control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Aivazovsky tries to close the distance and clinch but Levkoev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Aivazovsky lands the left hand. Aivazovsky shoots and misses and Levkoev counters with a shoot takedown. Aivazovsky fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Aivazovsky. Buket Levkoev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Aivazovsky Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Levkoev's back instead. Levkoev is keeping busy.
Levkoev wants to control his opponent's hands but Aivazovsky gets his hands free. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Levkoev is keeping busy.
Levkoev is trapped and Aivazovsky is scoring with shots to the head and body. Aivazovsky punishes Levkoev with strikes from the back mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Aivazovsky is looking to control Levkoev but Levkoev is wriggling around and keeping busy. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Aivazovsky.

Ivan Aivazovsky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Levkoev passes to full mount! Aivazovsky flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

And that's the end of the fight! Buket Levkoev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Levkoev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
