Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Cuddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bunny Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Cuddell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Cuddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Cuddell. Those never looked like landing.
A combination from Cuddell does no damage.
Cuddell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anstey slips a straight right by Cuddell.
Cuddell throws out a loose jab but Anstey uses good head movement to avoid it.
Anstey shoots in but no luck this time.

Anstey drives through with a takedown into Cuddell's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Anstey prevents Cuddell from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anstey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Cuddell kicks off Anstey and gets to his feet.

Anstey shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Anstey was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Anstey misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Cuddell is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cuddell holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Anstey tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Cuddell is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Anstey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Let's hope that Anstey has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Anstey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Anstey content just to control the position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Anstey shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bunny Anstey was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Cuddell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anstey circles away quickly and effectively.
Cuddell moves in looking to clinch but Anstey pushes him off.
Cuddell tries to bum rush Anstey with a series of wild strikes but Anstey uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Anstey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cuddell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anstey somewhat.

Anstey shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Anstey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Cuddell tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Anstey slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Cuddell controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Anstey throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Anstey punches the canvas rather than the man.
Anstey is punishing Cuddell with some ground and pound.
Anstey is riding his opponent, not letting Cuddell buck him off.
Cuddell is trying to remain composed but Anstey is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Anstey thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Anstey is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Anstey lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bunny Anstey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Cuddell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Cuddell tries to clinch there but Anstey circles away.
Cuddell misses with a few strikes there.

Anstey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Anstey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Cuddell is trying to stand back up but Anstey is controlling him

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bunny Anstey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Cuddell lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Anstey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
