Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Glen Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Glen Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Miller!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller throws a leg kick that is checked

and Jones holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Miller manages to pull guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jones won't allow Miller to sweep him here.

Miller looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Miller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller has Jones pulled in close to control his posture.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Miller takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Miller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes.
Miller shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Miller looks gassed!
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller.
Jones wants to clinch up but Miller keeps it at a distance.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Miller sprawls well.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Miller shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Jones looks for a takedown but Miller sprawls well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Glen Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Miller.
Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Miller.


Miller is rocked!
Jones fails with the takedown.
Miller is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Miller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Miller seems to have recovered his senses.

No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.
Miller shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jones moves into the clinch.
Jones prevents the takedown attempt.

Miller turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Miller wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Miller drags him back down.
Miller postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Miller lands a nice forearm strike.
Jones tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Miller easily slips into full mount!
Miller avoids the attempt from Jones to control.
Miller lands with some strikes.

Miller looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Miller is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Jones is in real trouble.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Miller struggling to land strikes to the head as Jones covers up.
Miller avoiding Jones 's attempts to control his hands.
Miller biding his time, controlling Jones.
Jones tries to break free.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jones is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Jones is having to fend off submission attempts from Miller, who is looking to sink in the choke. Miller doesn't have the hooks in though and Jones manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Miller dominated that round.
That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Miller lands a leg kick that knocks Jones off balance momentarily.
Miller shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Miller fails with the takedown.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Miller manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Miller keeps the fight on the outside.
Miller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
Glen Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Miller.

Miller is breathing heavily.

Jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miller is working away from the top position though.
Miller stops Jones from getting back to his feet.

Miller decides to stand and escape the position.
Miller shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Jones tries for a takedown but Miller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jones is looking to clinch but Miller is avoiding it.
Miller shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
Miller blocks a head kick by Jones.
Miller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jack Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones fails with the takedown.
Miller looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jones tries to kick Miller off but Miller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Miller in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Jones tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Miller!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Miller!
