Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vic Sotto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petter Anier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vic Sotto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Petter Anier!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sotto tries to keep at a distance but Anier has taken the fight into the clinch.
Anier is looking for a takedown.
Sotto avoids a wild elbow strike from Anier.
Anier jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sotto walks away with a smile on his face. Anier gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
No joy there for Sotto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Anier takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Anier throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sotto's waist but Sotto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anier off to one side.
Vic Sotto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Petter Anier.
Anier tries to clinch but Sotto is having none of it.

Anier moves into the clinch.

Anier's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sotto throws a combination that misses

so Anier counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Anier gets to his feet. Sotto looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Sotto fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anier manages to avoid it.
Petter Anier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sotto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Anier jabs Sotto to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Sotto scores with a punch to the head.
Sotto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anier moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Anier throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Anier pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sotto looks to score with a jab to the body but Anier is just out of range.

Anier closes the distance and clinches.
Sotto tries to break the clinch but Anier is controlling the position.

Anier keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sotto's efforts to push away.

Anier pulls guard effortlessly.

Anier wants to sweep but no luck.
Sotto wants to stand and escape but instead Anier has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anier is pushing down on Sotto's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sotto is fighting to maintain full guard but Anier has managed to sneak the leg through.
Anier is trying to control. Sotto wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sotto strikes from the bottom but Anier passes into mount!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sotto throws a strike but has given up his back in the process.
Anier is hanging on to Sotto's back as he tries to escape.

Sotto looking very determined here, making life difficult for Anier.
Sotto's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Anier's hands.
Anier controlling well, preventing Sotto from escaping the position.

Anier is cranking Sotto's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Sotto! He's tightened the choke and Sotto is tapping out!
