Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abdul Mohammed!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Miller closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mohammed quickly recovers to half guard.
Mohammed tries to roll over but Miller keeps him under control.
Miller slows the pace down in half guard.
Miller is trying to control the action in half guard but Mohammed is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Mohammed trying to control from the bottom.
Miller is looking to take a break and control but Mohammed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Miller fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mohammed avoids a kick to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Mohammed working hard to break the clinch.
Mohammed wants to take the fight to the mat but Miller manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Miller breaks the clinch.
Mohammed swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller.
Miller lands a body shot.
Mohammed circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mohammed misses with a two punch combination.
Miller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mohammed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Miller shoots for a takedown but Mohammed saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Miller is looking to slow Mohammed down with leg kicks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Miller fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mohammed misses with a kick to the body
and Miller counters with a nice kick to the body.
Mohammed looks gassed!
Miller looks for a takedown but Mohammed sprawls well.
Mohammed shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mohammed looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Miller!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miller is in all sorts of trouble here.
Miller tries to hold on but Mohammed postures up.
Miller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mohammed on the ground.

Miller is desperately trying to improve his position but Mohammed has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller is squirming around, avoiding Mohammed's attempts to control the action.
Mohammed landing strikes from the mount and Miller is in trouble!
Mohammed throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Miller is working to get back to half guard.
Miller tries to control the position but Mohammed now has his back.

Mohammed trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Miller doesn't escape.
Mohammed has the hooks in. Miller is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Mohammed punches the canvas rather than the man.

Mohammed missing with strikes from the back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mohammed trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Miller doesn't escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mohammed has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Miller! Can he survive? No! He's out! Mohammed gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
