The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trainor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trainor swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mendazedora is now in Trainor's guard. A big mistake from Trainor there, giving up the dominant position!
Mendazedora must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Trainor is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mendazedora defends well.

In his post fight interview, Hugo Mendazedora started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
