Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maci connects with a solid leg kick.
Maci shoots in for a takedown but Austin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Austin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maci avoids it really well and circles away.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Austin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Maci - the referee stops the clock and Austin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Maci. Austin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Austin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Austin connects with a nice short shot to Maci's temple.

Austin wants to control but Maci is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Austin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Maci looks like he's trying to stand up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Austin in particular looking to stall.
Austin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Maci is just riding it out for now. Austin eventually gives up the hold.

Maci has one foot on Austin's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mario Maci comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Maci has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
