Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Choi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carlos Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jun Choi! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Choi closes the distance and clinches. A frustrated look appears on Johnson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Choi prevents Johnson from breaking the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Choi breaks the clinch.
Choi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Johnson keeps Choi under control for a moment. Johnson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Johnson struggling a bit here. Choi working the ground and pound but Johnson is defending the strikes. Choi happy to just control the position for now. Johnson is not content to let Choi control the position. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson tries to buck Choi off but Choi is having none of it. Johnson wants to control but Choi postures up. Choi stands up and beckons Johnson to his feet. Choi misses with a body shot.
Choi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Choi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes. Johnson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A head kick misses from Choi. Choi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Johnson.
Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing. Choi shoots in but no luck this time. Carlos Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jun Choi. Choi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Choi forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches. Johnson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Choi is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Johnson is defending well. A frustrated look appears on Johnson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Choi is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Johnson can't fight it off and eventually Choi manages to take the fight to the floor. Johnson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Choi tries to free his leg and advance position but Johnson is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Choi with a nice head shot there. Johnson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Choi wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jun Choi wasn't active enough on the ground. No luck for Choi with that takedown attempt. Choi dodges the punch combination from Johnson.

Choi tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson swinging wildly here.

Carlos Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Choi shoots in and gets a takedown into Johnson's guard. Johnson pulls Choi in close to prevent any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Choi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jun Choi dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Choi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Johnson's knee momentarily. Johnson leaves Choi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Johnson misses with a wild body shot. Choi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Johnson cracks Choi with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Choi looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Johnson finish him?
Choi is rocked!
It looks like Jun Choi has been cut. Carlos Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Choi shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Choi is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him? Johnson misses with a wild combination.
Johnson lands with a right and another and another! Choi is in big trouble! Johnson lands again and this time it's lights out for Choi! A quality knockout there for Johnson.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Carlos Johnson!
