0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Renatinho! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCall moves out of range of the body kick. Renatinho has his takedown stuffed and McCall moves into the clinch. Renatinho looking for a takedown. Renatinho using the Thai plumb to throw knees but McCall has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Renatinho jumps guard but McCall turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ian McCall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Renatinho. McCall lands a body punch in the clinch. McCall lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Renatinho backwards.
It looks like Renato Renatinho has been cut. McCall has Renatinho pushed against the cage. Renatinho is trying to drag McCall to the mat but McCall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. McCall just leaning against Renatinho, taking a breather.

A short left from McCall. Renatinho is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Renatinho can't get the takedown.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. McCall controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Renatinho throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. McCall controlling from the top position.

Ian McCall has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Renatinho throws a series of punches but McCall avoids them all with ease. McCall defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Renatinho. McCall clinches up with Renatinho and pushes him back against the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McCall stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
McCall could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. McCall seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Renatinho's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A head punch on the inside from McCall fails to land. Renato Renatinho has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ian McCall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McCall keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Renatinho's efforts to push away.
And that's the end of the fight! Ian McCall showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McCall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
