Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaime Encanador! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nasir Godfrey! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Encanador shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Godfrey lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Godfrey connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Godfrey.
Encanador gets a clinch. Godfrey tries to circle away but Encanador has him pinned against the cage. Encanador working hard to break the clinch. Godfrey is trying to stall.
Encanador softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Godfrey looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Encanador lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Godfrey to his knees! Encanador keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
