The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pierry fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pit shoots for a double leg takedown but Pierry sprawls well. He's pushed Pit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pit feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pit loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Pit drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pierry manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pit has Pierry in his guard.

Pit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pierry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Pit is tightening it up a little... Pierry has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Pierry reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Pierry taps out! Nice BJJ there by Pit!
