Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rico Monster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spike Dudley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rico Monster could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Spike Dudley's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rico Monster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spike Dudley! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dudley drives through and clinches with Monster against the cage.
Monster pulls Dudley into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Monster keeping moving, preventing Dudley from controlling successfully. Monster looking for a sweep. Not yet Monster, not yet. Dudley trying to control the position from guard on top but Monster is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dudley wants to get up but he can't break Monster's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The ref stands the fighters back up. Spike Dudley was stalling too much, according to the referee. Horrible takedown by Monster or perhaps it was just good defense by Dudley which made him look bad. Dudley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dudley blocks a head kick by Monster.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dudley throws a head kick but Monster moves out of range.
Monster shoots in but no luck this time. Some wild striking there from Monster.
Monster closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dudley to the mat! Dudley manages to get full guard. Monster passes Dudley's left leg - he's now in half guard. Dudley is trying to control but can't.
Monster throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Dudley to regain full guard. Dudley working a defensive guard here.
Dudley has control of Monster's left arm, preventing Monster from doing any damage. Dudley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Monster throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dudley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Monster throws a big right hand that misses. Monster distracts Dudley with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dudley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Monster works over Dudley with some ground and pound from guard. Monster lands a couple of elbows. Dudley trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Monster postures up in Dudley's guard and throws a big left but Dudley blocks it. Dudley is looking to stand up but Monster isn't so interested in that idea. Monster throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Monster working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Monster is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dudley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Monster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Monster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monster working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dudley's head. Dudley keeping moving, preventing Monster from controlling successfully. Monster is in close to Dudley's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dudley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dudley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Monster is controlling him. Monster is working Dudley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Monster with a nice head shot there. Monster cracks Dudley with a solid left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Monster landing with the ground and pound. Monster scoring with some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Monster throws a big elbow that misses. Monster wants to control from the top but Dudley keeps moving. Monster landing some decent shots from guard.
Dudley is rocked! Monster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dudley is still in real trouble! Can Monster finish him? Monster with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Monster scoring with punches to the head and body. Monster is taking a break and basically stalling. He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Monster looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Dudley can't hide his disappointment, as Monster celebrates the victory.
