The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertolone shoots for a double leg takedown but Boon sprawls well. He's pushed Bertolone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bertolone throws a wild body kick that Boon sees coming a mile off.
Kirk Boon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boon throws a series of punches but Bertolone avoids them all with ease.

and Bertolone counters with a single leg into guard. Boon didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bertolone is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Boon has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bertolone is looking to defend but Boon has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bertolone! Boon pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bertolone taps out and this one is all over!
