Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Crow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Shreffler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Crow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Shreffler! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crow misses with a head kick.
Shreffler checks a leg kick. Crow stuffs the takedown attempt from Shreffler. Shreffler gets slowly back to his feet. Shreffler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Crow as he jumps to the side. Crow fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Crow tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shreffler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Crow somewhat. Shreffler clinches with his opponent.
Shreffler dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Crow jumps guard but Shreffler stands there with Crow around his waist. Crow gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Crow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shreffler breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crow pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Crow misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crow throws a half hearted mid kick. Shreffler throws a head kick that Crow semi-blocks.
It looks like John Crow has been cut. Shreffler rushes Crow and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Crow tries to pull guard but Shreffler forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Shreffler has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Crow after a bit of a struggle. Shreffler decides to pull guard. Shreffler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Crow pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shreffler is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shreffler throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Shreffler keeping full guard, as Crow tries to pass. Shreffler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crow is controlling him. Shreffler is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Crow landing with the ground and pound.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonathan Shreffler hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Shreffler gets a clinch. Crow jumps guard but Shreffler turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Crow looking to stall.
Shreffler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Shreffler moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. John Crow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shreffler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crow throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Shreffler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Crow is fending him off so far but Shreffler persists. Nope, Crow circles away and we're back to standing. Shreffler just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shreffler shoots in looking for a takedown but Crow manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shreffler's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Shreffler looks gassed! Crow tries to clinch but Shreffler moves out of range. Shreffler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Crow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. No luck for Shreffler with that takedown attempt. Crow throws a series of punches but Shreffler moves out of range. Crow shoots for a takedown but Shreffler saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shreffler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shreffler wants it to stay on the feet. Shreffler keeps the fight on the outside. Crow throws a nice head kick!
No luck for Crow with that takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathan Shreffler dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Crow's cut. That's time! Crow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Crow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shreffler pinned against the cage. Shreffler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Shreffler. Shreffler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shreffler fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Shreffler moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Shreffler slaps away a takedown attempt from Crow, before circling back to the center of the mat. Crow tries for a takedown but Shreffler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Crow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shreffler clobbers Crow with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Crow shoots in looking for a takedown. Shreffler tries to sprawl out of it but Crow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shreffler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Shreffler forces Crow back against the cage and clinches. A short body shot lands from Shreffler as the two fighters clinch.
Shreffler ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Shreffler no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Shreffler looking for a guillotine here but Crow defends easily.
Shreffler wants to sweep here but Crow controlling him for the moment.

Shreffler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Crow. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Shreffler slips a straight right by Crow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Shreffler or perhaps it was just good defense by Crow which made him look bad. Shreffler displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crow. Shreffler thuds his shin into the meat of Crow's side. Shreffler moves into the clinch. Crow jumps guard but Shreffler stands there with Crow around his waist. Crow gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shreffler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Shreffler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Crow throws a sloppy head kick and Shreffler moves out of range easily. Shreffler shoots for a takedown but Crow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Crow is defended easily by Shreffler. Shreffler clinches with his opponent.
Shreffler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crow is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Shreffler looking for a takedown. John Crow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Shreffler. Shreffler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Crow pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shreffler is keeping the position for now. Shreffler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Crow wants to control from the top but Shreffler keeps moving.

No joy for Crow on that attempt. Crow looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Crow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Crow fails with a takedown attempt. Crunch! Shreffler slams his shin into Crow's torso. Crow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shreffler avoids it really well and circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Shreffler is defended easily by Crow. Crow doesn't manage to clinch there - Shreffler circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shreffler gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Shreffler jumps guard and drags Crow to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Crow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shreffler swivels though and keeps the full guard. Crow trying to control but Shreffler is working from the bottom. Shreffler should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Shreffler has his foot on Crow's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Crow works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crow chips away with some ground and pound. Shreffler trying to control the position.

Shreffler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crow defends well. Shreffler wants to control the position but Crow says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Jonathan Shreffler has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Crow is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Jonathan Shreffler is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Crow seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
