Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yves Morello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morello kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fuel. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morello has his takedown stuffed
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
Smith jabs Morello right on the nose. Morello blinks but takes it well.

Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smith drops his shoulder and cracks Morello with a huge uppercut! Morello goes down! Can Smith finish him?
Oh Morello is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Morello takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Morello ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Morello moves out of range of the body kick.
Yves Morello is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.

Smith scores with a push kick.
Smith throws a series of punches but Morello moves out of range.
Smith keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Smith digs a good body shot into Morello's ribs.
Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Morello was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.
Jab, jab by Smith - just one landing.
Smith throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Morello on the side of the head.

Morello takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith pounces like a tiger and cracks Morello with a vicious hook! Morello is down but not out! Smith follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
