Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timur Rod acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hector Lombard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Rod!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rod dives in and grabs Lombard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lombard pushes down on Rod's head and hops out.
A punch lands to the side of Rod 's head but he takes it in his stride.
It looks like Timur Rod has been cut.
Rod fails with the takedown
and Lombard counters with a nice right hand that sends Rod toppling to the canvas! Rod scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Lombard finish him?!
Rod is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rod plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Rod shoots in looking for a takedown. Lombard tries to sprawl out of it but Rod keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lombard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hector Lombard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Timur Rod.
Rod shoots in looking for a takedown. Lombard tries to sprawl out of it but Rod keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lombard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lombard leaves Rod with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rod.
Hector Lombard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rod moves into range and clinches up with Lombard.
Lombard tries to break free but Rod pushes him back against the cage.
Rod is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lombard is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rod.
Rod escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rod moves into the clinch.
Rod manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lombard wants to stand but Rod is controlling his posture from full guard.
Lombard wants to stand and escape but instead Rod has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Rod won't allow Lombard to get back to his feet.
Rod stands and steps away. Lombard gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Lombard stuffs the takedown attempt from Rod. Rod gets slowly back to his feet.
Rod looks gassed!
Rod changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lombard tries to avoid it but Rod manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lombard to the ground. Lombard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Timur Rod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rod tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lombard swivels and escapes.
Lombard pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rod pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rod misses with a kick to the body.
Rod uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lombard.
Rod misses with a takedown attempt
and Lombard counters with a straight right hand.
Lombard throws out a loose jab but Rod uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lombard connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A swing and a miss from Lombard.
Lombard pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

A big right from Lombard misses.
Rod shoots and misses
and Lombard counters with a nice right hand that sends Rod toppling to the canvas! Rod scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Lombard finish him?!
That has opened up Timur Rod's cut even more.

Lombard darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Rod's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Lombard before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

An out of breath Hector Lombard thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
