Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yuki Nakai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Tamad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuki Nakai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan Tamad!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamad tries a head kick but it misses.
Nakai tries to clinch up.
Nakai fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Tamad is out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Tamad misses with an uppercut.
Nakai wants to clinch up but Tamad keeps it at a distance.
Nakai throws a head kick that misses.
Tamad looks to throw the jab but Nakai is out of range.
Nakai tries to close the distance and clinch but Tamad swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nakai tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tamad swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nakai throws a sloppy head kick and Tamad moves out of range easily.
Tamad keeps the fight on the outside.
Tamad throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tamad throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No joy there for Nakai, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tamad goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Tamad circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nakai dives in and grabs Tamad's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tamad pushes down on Nakai's head and hops out.
Nakai is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tamad sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nakai shoots in looking for a takedown. Tamad tries to sprawl out of it but Nakai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tamad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuki Nakai. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nakai throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tamad tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nakai is in Tamad's guard.

Nakai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tamad swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Nakai pulls Tamad in close to prevent any damage.
Nakai keeping moving, preventing Tamad from controlling successfully.
Nakai is trying to control the position but Tamad postures up.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Tamad working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Tamad wants to pass the guard but Nakai is keeping the position.
Nakai is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nakai has momentary wrist control but Tamad slips an elbow through the middle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tamad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakai swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tamad is pushing down on Nakai's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nakai is fighting to maintain full guard but Tamad has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yuki Nakai will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nakai has Tamad pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nakai pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tamad tumbling to the mat - Nakai dives into Tamad's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nakai is looking for a kimura but Tamad is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nakai to get the leverage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Nakai has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
