Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raz Liquor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Cole! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liquor looks to land a combination but Cole avoids it well. Liquor misses with a double jab.

A combination from Cole does no damage. Liquor lands a body shot.
Cole tries to clinch but Liquor moves out of range. Cole looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Liquor throws the kick towards the body but Cole avoids it. Liquor falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cole counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cole stops Liquor from getting back to his feet.
Liquor pushes Cole off and gets back to his feet. Cole rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Liquor moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Liquor is looking to clinch. Liquor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cole counters by moving into the clinch.

Cole closes this distance looking for a takedown but Liquor circles away. Liquor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cole manages to avoid it. Cole takes a body punch but keeps moving. Liquor throws a right hand that Cole ducks under and follows up with a left that Cole also avoids with ease. Liquor falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cole counters with a takedown into side control. Cole tries to stand but Liquor is controlling his head. Liquor is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Cole asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Cole creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Liquor sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Cole prevents Liquor from escaping the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Liquor lands with a shot to the body. Liquor is breathing heavily. Cole throws a right and a left that both miss. Cole checks a leg kick. Liquor gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Liquor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Raz Liquor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liquor rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cole moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Liquor looks to land a body kick but Cole moved away. Liquor is looking to wear down Cole with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Liquor smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Cole moves out of range of the body kick from Liquor.

Liquor tries to keep at a distance but Cole has taken the fight into the clinch. Cole is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Liquor gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Cole misses with a short punch on the inside. Liquor dodges an elbow strike from Cole.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Liquor is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Cole has had enough of the clinch but Liquor keeps him there for the moment. Liquor is pressed up against the cage. Cole has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Liquor down to the mat. Liquor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cole closes the distance and clinches up with Liquor, looking for a takedown. Cole pushes Liquor against the cage but Liquor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Liquor looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

and Cole counters with a three punch combo that has Liquor backing up. Liquor nods at Cole to acknowledge the strikes. Cole tries for a takedown but Liquor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Liquor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Liquor throws a right hand that Cole ducks under and follows up with a left that Cole also avoids with ease. A combination from Liquor does no damage. Cole uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Liquor. A left and a right from Liquor both land. Nice combination. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cole. Liquor throws a wild combination but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Cole will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cole throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liquor's waist but Liquor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cole off to one side. Cole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Liquor as he avoids it easily. Raz Liquor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Cole. Cole fails with a takedown attempt from distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cole takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Liquor scores with a jab. Liquor is looking to clinch but Cole is avoiding it.

and Cole counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Liquor's guard now. Liquor preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Liquor wants to stand but Cole is controlling the position. Cole must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cole seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cole tries to close the distance and clinch but Liquor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Liquor looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cole looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like John Cole has been cut. Cole keeps the fight on the outside. Liquor looks to land a combination but Cole avoids it well. Liquor misses with a jab, cross combination.
Liquor stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Liquor moves in looking to clinch but Cole pushes him off. Raz Liquor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Liquor scores with a spinning back kick! Liquor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cole counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cole slips a jab and a cross from Liquor.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Liquor throws a head kick that misses. Liquor cracks Cole with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
