Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Riley Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Riley Adams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Bennett! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bennett sprawls well initially but Adams persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Adams wants to control but Bennett is keeping him busy. Bennett is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Adams wants to free his trapped foot but Bennett is holding on for dear life with his legs. Adams wants to work for an arm triangle but Bennett is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Adams trying to control the action but Bennett is working from the bottom. Bennett looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett regains full guard. Nicely done. Adams is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Bennett closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Adams is looking to regain half guard here but Bennett keeps moving and retains side control. Bennett looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Adams is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adams is not content to let Bennett control the position. Bennett goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Adams rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bennett's guard! Nice work there by Adams! Adams slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bennett looking to hit a scissor sweep but Adams is one step ahead there. Adams really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Adams throws and elbow that misses. Bennett uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Adams's guard. Nice move by Bennett! Adams keeping full guard, as Bennett tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Adams bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bennett's guard. Bennett looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Adams passes into side control.
Bennett tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Adams has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Riley Adams will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Adams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Adams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bennett working for a triangle but Adams defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Adams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bennett is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bennett manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Adams manages to get himself to full guard.
Bennett passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bennett takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bennett is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bennett is looking for a kimura but Adams is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bennett to get the leverage. Bennett is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Adams! Bennett throws some wild stikes that Adams manages to avoid easily.
Adams is working to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bennett tries to control but Adams wriggling away. Bennett is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Adams has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Adams! Bennett can't keep his opponent in guard - Adams advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Adams is looking to stall here but Bennett recovers full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bennett looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Adams wants to control from the top but Bennett keeps moving. Bennett is looking for a triangle here but Adams uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Adams remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jay Bennett will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Adams tries to clinch up but Bennett circles away and keeps his distance. Adams is looking to clinch but Bennett is avoiding it.
Adams lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bennett's sensitive parts. Bennett shoots and misses so Adams counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Adams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Adams slips nicely into half guard. Adams trying to control from half guard but Bennett is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bennett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Adams wants to advance to full mount but Bennett doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Adams tries to free his leg and advance position but Bennett is retaining full guard. Bennett is trying to control the position but Adams postures up. Riley Adams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Adams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bennett fails with the takedown and Adams decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bennett's guard. Bennett working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Adams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Adams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Adams looking to pass the guard.

Bennett has his foot on Adams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Adams works his way back into a safe position though. Bennett has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Adams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Adams won't allow Bennett to sweep him here. Adams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Adams trying to control but Bennett is working from the bottom. Bennett throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Adams escapes and throws Bennett's legs to the side, diving into side control!
And that's the end of the fight! Riley Adams showed his dominance in that final round. Well Adams has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
