The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stockman tries to clinch but Ismailov is having none of it.
Stockman moves to clinch but Ismailov breaks away
and Ismailov counters with a single leg into guard. Stockman didn't expect that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ismailov trying to control but Stockman is working from the bottom.

Stockman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ismailov stopping the sweep attempt from Stockman.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Baxter Stockman.
Stockman moves in looking to clinch but Ismailov pushes him off.
Adam Ismailov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Ismailov counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ismailov.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stockman is trying to control the position but Ismailov postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stockman is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ismailov throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Stockman's body to avoid the submission. Stockman has instead reached around Ismailov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Stockman arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
