Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Garelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dennis comes to the cage accompanied by Bark at the moon. Garelli has chosen Patriarch on a Vespa as his entrance music. Joe Garelli acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jorge Dennis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Garelli! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garelli shoots in but Dennis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dennis throws a nice looking combination but Garelli bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dennis misses the shot to the body. Dennis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A jab from Garelli misses. A swing and a miss from Garelli. Garelli drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dennis tries to buck Garelli off but Garelli is having none of it. Dennis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Dennis wants to improve his position but Garelli is controlling well.
Garelli perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Dennis is looking for a sweep. Garelli is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garelli with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Dennis gets full guard. Garelli is stalling in the full guard. Dennis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Garelli thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dennis lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Garelli! Garelli blocking the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dennis dominating with strikes here. Dennis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dennis cracks Garelli with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Garelli is squirming around, avoiding Dennis's attempts to control the action. Dennis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Garelli is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dennis throwing strikes here but Garelli is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Dennis tries to control but Garelli wriggling away. Garelli is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dennis controlling the position easily from mount. Dennis throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Garelli is squirming around, avoiding Dennis's attempts to control the action. Garelli sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Garelli looking for subs from the bottom but Dennis mounts him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dennis breaks from Garelli's wrist control and lands an elbow. Dennis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dennis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Garelli is looking to escape. Dennis looking to finish Garelli with some ground and pound. This is bad for Garelli! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Garelli is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dennis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dennis throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Garelli because Dennis loaded up on that one. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Garelli keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Garelli bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jorge Dennis dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dennis shoots for a double leg takedown but Garelli sprawls well. He's pushed Dennis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Garelli connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Garelli shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dennis as he avoids it easily. Garelli gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Dennis manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Dennis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dennis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Garelli defends well. Jorge Dennis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Garelli drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Garelli as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Dennis screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Garelli! Nice submission victory there!
