Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Ross!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ross lets loose with a powerful body kick. Machida will feel that in the morning.
Machida avoids the head kick by Ross.
Ross is looking to slow Machida down with leg kicks.
Ross works over Machida's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Randy Machida has been cut.
Machida blocks a jab.
Machida on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ross misses with the combination.
Machida chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ross can pounce on him.
Ross tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ross lands a nice leg kick that just misses Machida's sensitive parts.
Machida shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ground and pound from Machida.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Machida passes to side control.
Ross wants to get back to his feet.
Machida advances nicely into full mount.
Machida get's back to his feet.
Steve Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida drives through and clinches with Ross against the cage.
Machida has Ross pushed against the cage.
Ross tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Machida avoids it.
Machida throws a knee to the head but misses.
Machida has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ross clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machida working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Ross is doing well to defend. Machida seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Ross is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Randy Machida!
