Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kijiro Kazasuki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kendo Janari! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Janari cracks Kazasuki with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Kazasuki looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Janari looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kazasuki shoots for a double leg takedown but Janari sprawls well. He's pushed Kazasuki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Janari tries for a takedown but Kazasuki circles away easily and Kazasuki counters with a takedown into side control. Janari is not content to let Kazasuki control the position. Janari wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Janari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kazasuki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kazasuki goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Janari has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kazasuki but great work by Janari. Janari stands up. Janari tries to close the distance and clinch but Kazasuki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Janari looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kazasuki shoots for a takedown but Janari saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Janari gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kazasuki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kijiro Kazasuki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendo Janari.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Janari wants to get back to his feet but Kazasuki is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Janari manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Janari throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kazasuki. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Janari moves into range and clinches up with Kazasuki. Kazasuki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Janari smiles and moves away.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Janari escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Janari gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazasuki gets underhooks to prevent Janari's takedown attempt.

Kazasuki has had enough of the clinch but Janari keeps him there for the moment. Kazasuki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Janari is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Janari ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Janari no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kazasuki's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kazasuki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kazasuki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Janari is keeping the position for now. Janari wants to get back to his feet but Kazasuki is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Janari uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kazasuki tries to keep at a distance but Janari has taken the fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kendo Janari will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Janari comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Janari goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kazasuki prevents it.

Kendo Janari is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Janari with a poor takedown and Kazasuki decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Janari's guard. Kazasuki forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kazasuki throwing shots but Janari is blocking nicely. Kazasuki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Janari is just riding it out for now. Kazasuki eventually gives up the hold. Kazasuki is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Janari! Kazasuki jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Janari is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Janari and Kazasuki has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Janari is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Janari throws Kazasuki to one side and escapes! Kazasuki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Janari throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Kazasuki stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Janari follows into mount!
Kazasuki is rocked! Kazasuki tries to improve his position but instead Janari has taken his back! Oh Kazasuki is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Janari is riding his opponent, not letting Kazasuki buck him off. Kazasuki seems to have got his legs back now. Kijiro Kazasuki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazasuki rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Janari wants to stand up but Kazasuki has a hold of him and won't allow it. Kazasuki has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Janari escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Janari!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kazasuki tries to bench press Janari off him but Janari keeps the position. Kazasuki gets back to half guard. Kazasuki tries to roll over but Janari keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kendo Janari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Kazasuki bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kazasuki goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Janari rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kazasuki's guard! Nice work there by Janari! Janari stands up from Kazasuki's guard - Janari perhaps looking for a knockout. Janari clinches. Janari breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Janari throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Janari doesn't manage to clinch there - Kazasuki circles away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kazasuki tries for a takedown but Janari sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Janari closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kazasuki is working for takedown but Janari is calmly controlling the position for now. Kazasuki avoiding damage as Janari throws knees to the body.
Kazasuki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Janari gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kijiro Kazasuki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Knees in the clinch landing for Janari.
Janari pulls guard effortlessly. Kazasuki won't allow Janari to get back to his feet. Janari pushes Kazasuki off and scrambles back to his feet.

Janari lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Kazasuki takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kazasuki tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Janari just stands there and leans against the cage. Kazasuki gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Janari.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Janari takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A knee to the head by Janari.

Janari avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Janari rushes Kazasuki and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Janari landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Janari wants a takedown but no success here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Janari tries to pull guard but Kazasuki holds him up against the cage and eventually Janari drops back down to his feet.
Janari is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Kazasuki has had enough of the clinch but Janari keeps him there for the moment. Janari pulls guard. Kazasuki slips nicely into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Janari can do anything to dispel that myth. Janari kicks off Kazasuki and gets to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Janari as Kazasuki shoots in. Janari lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Kazasuki shoots in for a takedown but Janari shows good takedown defense. Kazasuki drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Janari is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kazasuki wants to control from the top but Janari keeps moving. Kazasuki stops Janari from standing up. Kazasuki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Janari is keeping the position for now. Janari keeping moving, preventing Kazasuki from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Kendo Janari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Janari winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
