Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shadow Deathgrip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcracken has chosen 10cc - Dreadlock Holiday as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shadow Deathgrip! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Mcracken! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deathgrip loads up on a big right hand but Mcracken slips the punch. Mcracken wants to clinch. Mcracken gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mcracken drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Deathgrip tries for a takedown but Mcracken manages to get underhooks.
Mcracken manages to break the clinch.
Deathgrip throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mcracken counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Deathgrip's guard now. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Deathgrip looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mcracken is one step ahead there. Mcracken trying to control but Deathgrip is working from the bottom. Deathgrip is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcracken scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcracken stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Deathgrip swivels though and keeps the full guard. Deathgrip tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mcracken with a flurry of punches that miss. Mcracken working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Deathgrip's head. Deathgrip looking for a sweep. Not yet Deathgrip, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Deathgrip is working hard here to advance position. Deathgrip really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mcracken working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Deathgrip keeping moving, preventing Mcracken from controlling successfully. Mcracken won't allow Deathgrip to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcracken wants to control from the top but Deathgrip keeps moving. Mcracken has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mcracken makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Mcracken landing with the ground and pound. Deathgrip has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcracken can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Deathgrip preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Deathgrip working a defensive guard here.
Mcracken lands a couple of digs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcracken looking to pass the guard. Deathgrip wants to sweep here but Mcracken controlling him for the moment. Mcracken throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mcracken in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mcracken stopping the sweep attempt from Deathgrip. Mcracken stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Deathgrip has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Mcracken manages to get his head free but now Deathgrip has transitioned to an armbar! Mcracken grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Deathgrip! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shadow Deathgrip! Shadow Deathgrip took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'I would like to thank all the MMA fans who came here tonight!
