The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Short tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Slone is able to avoid easily.
Short fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Slone has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Slone avoids the head kick by Short.
Short lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Short slaps away a takedown attempt from Slone, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Short closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Short is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Slone is defending well for now.
Short really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
