Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Mlotkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Spoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Mlotkowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, James Spoon!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spoon clinches with his opponent.
Spoon is pressed up against the cage. Mlotkowski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Spoon down to the mat. Spoon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Spoon instigates a clinch.

Mlotkowski gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Mlotkowski gets to his feet - Spoon follows without any prompting.
Mlotkowski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spoon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mlotkowski fails to land the takedown.
Spoon throws an overhand right that lands on Mlotkowski's shoulder, as Mlotkowski tries to avoid the shot.

Mlotkowski drives through with a takedown into Spoon's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mlotkowski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mlotkowski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mlotkowski is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Spoon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mlotkowski enables Spoon to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mlotkowski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Spoon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mlotkowski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spoon has managed to get both his arms back between Mlotkowski's legs - danger averted.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Mlotkowski will probably get the nod.
