Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clive King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Empire State of Mind. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Carter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Clive King has been cut.
King looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
King misses with a double jab.
Carter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Carter tries to clinch up.
Carter moves out of range of the body kick from King.
Carter fails in his attempt to clinch.
Shawn Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Carter looks to land a combination but King avoids it well.

Carter has taken the fight to the clinch.
King gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Carter.

Carter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carter tries to clinch but King moves out of range.
Carter throws a nice looking combination but King bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Carter has managed to clinch.

Carter breaks from the clinch.

King tries to keep at a distance but Carter has taken the fight into the clinch.

Carter has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but King regains guard immediately.

Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Carter stands and steps away. King gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

King gets caught flat footed, as Carter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
King pulls Carter in to control the position.
King is trying to keep Carter in close.
Carter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Carter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Carter knocks King out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
