Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leary's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, War Machine. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leary tries for a takedown but Jensen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Leary lands a lovely overhand right. Leary shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jensen but Jensen pushes him off and we're back to square one. Leary shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jensen as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Leary. That's going to take a lot out of him. Leary shoots in and drives through. Jensen sprawls well. Leary throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jensen's waist but Jensen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leary off to one side. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Leary. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Jensen wants to break the clinch but can't.

Jensen closes the distance and clinches. Leary has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jensen uses from the top position. Jensen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jensen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Leary is proving hard to escape from. Leary uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jensen's guard. Nice move by Leary! Leary works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jensen is trying to stand.
Leary stands up from half guard. Jim Jensen seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jensen stuffs the takedown. Leary darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jensen on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leary postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jensen to stand up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Leary. Leary tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jensen's legs. Leary has knee on belly and moves into mount. Jensen squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Jensen is looking to improve his position but Leary isn't that keen on the idea. Jensen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jensen is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Jensen is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jensen tries to reverse the position but Leary maintains control. Leary looking for a guillotine from mount but Jensen is having none of it. Leary prevents Jensen from getting the reversal. Mark Leary has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Leary content just to control the position here. Jensen is working to get back to half guard.
