The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ler tries to close the distance and clinch but Pikkarainen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ler blocks a jab.
Pikkarainen misses with a hook to the body
and Ler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ler lands with an uppercut that bounces Pikkarainen off the cage and back into range.
Ler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pikkarainen.
Ler stuffs the takedown.
Pekka Pikkarainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
