The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Rekdal.
Rekdal throws a body punch but Andre moves out of range.
Thorbjorn Rekdal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Andre wants to land a leg kick but Rekdal is out of range.
Rekdal goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Andre ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rekdal misses with a looping left.
Rekdal blocks the body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rekdal cracks Andre's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Andre slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Rekdal can do further damage! This one is done, son!
