Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between The Abaddon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abaddon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Final Countdown.... The Abaddon could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dean Pope's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dean Pope!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abaddon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pope.
Pope uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Abaddon has time to react.
Pope ducks under a wild hook from Abaddon.
Abaddon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pope.
The Abaddon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left lands for Abaddon.
No luck for Pope with that takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pope is defended easily by Abaddon.
Pope ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

The Abaddon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Pope.
Pope shoots for a double leg takedown but Abaddon sprawls well. He's pushed Pope's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters circling - Abaddon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Pope has his foot on Abaddon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Abaddon works his way back into a safe position though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Abaddon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pope has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Abaddon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Abaddon postures up in Pope's guard and throws a big left but Pope blocks it.
Abaddon lands a couple of elbows.

Abaddon is looking to work some ground and pound but Pope has wrist control.

Pope escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Abaddon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Abaddon stands and throws Pope's legs to the side, diving into side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abaddon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Abaddon works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Abaddon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pope sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Abaddon throws a lazy right hand but Pope sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Pope uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Abaddon.
Abaddon fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Abaddon is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Abaddon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pope counters with a straight right hand.
Abaddon throws a hook but Pope blocks it.

Pope moves into the clinch.
Pope is looking to control Abaddon's arms but Abaddon gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pope has his back to the cage.

Pope throws a head punch that misses.
Pope is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Abaddon pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Abaddon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Pope shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Abaddon but Abaddon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Abaddon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pope is still in real trouble! Can Abaddon finish him?
Abaddon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pope looks a forlorn figure.

Pope takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Abaddon's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
