Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Cameron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Demoss! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Demoss drives through and clinches with Cameron against the cage.
Demoss keeps control of Cameron as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Demoss scores with a knee to the head.
Cameron is trying to break the clinch but Demoss has him pressed against the cage. Demoss lands a knee to the body.
Cameron is fighting off a takedown attempt but Demoss is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cameron to the mat. Cameron regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Demoss throwing strikes but missing. Demoss must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Demoss postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cameron keeping full guard, as Demoss tries to pass. Demoss throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Demoss has gone for a leg lock! Cameron slips out almost immediately though and dives into Demoss's guard. Demoss manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cameron avoids a series of strikes thrown by Demoss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cameron manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Cameron, under a barage of strikes from Demoss.
Demoss wants to work for an arm triangle but Cameron is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cameron blocking the ground and pound attempt from Demoss. Demoss missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Demoss stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Cameron to get to his feet. Cameron is breathing heavily. Demoss closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Demoss has Cameron pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Demoss pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cameron tumbling to the mat - Demoss dives into Cameron's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cameron working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Demoss. Demoss gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Cameron throws a sloppy head kick and Demoss counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Demoss closes the distance and clinches. Demoss with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. A nice glancing elbow lands by Demoss. Demoss landing knees to the head.
Cameron wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Cameron takes a knee right on the jaw!

Cameron is rocked! Demoss lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Oh Cameron is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Demoss digs a right hand underneath Cameron's ribcage. Cameron let out a lung full of air as it connected. Demoss lands with a left to the head. Demoss lands an elbow inside that Cameron shrugs off. Knees to the body from Demoss.
Demoss lands a nice elbow. Demoss is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cameron can't fight it off and eventually Demoss manages to take the fight to the floor. Cameron looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Cameron can't keep his opponent in guard - Demoss advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Demoss scores with a big shot! Cameron's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Cameron! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Demoss!
