Roode will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Utu connects with a leg kick. Roode looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Roode has his takedown stuffed
and Utu counters with a body kick.
Utu feints and then cracks Roode's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Roode down.
Roode looks winded!
A thudding body kick lands there by Utu!

Utu moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Utu lands a nice leg kick that just misses Roode's sensitive parts.
Utu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Utu! This one is all over!

After the fight, Rau Utu was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
