Monster comes to the cage accompanied by Cookie Monster Eating Cookie. Ives has chosen Fort Minor - Remember the Name as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ives goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Cookie Monster has been cut.
Monster moves out of range of the leg kick from Ives.
Nice uppercut lands for Ives. That snapped Monster's head back.
Monster scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ives moves in looking to clinch but Monster pushes him off.
Ives throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ives ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Monster moves away.
Ives works the jab nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Monster throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Monster throws a nice outside leg kick.
Ives misses with a looping left.
Monster chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ives can pounce on him.
Ives scores with a decent looking hook.
Monster swats away the attempt to clinch by Ives.
Cookie Monster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Ives.

A jab from Monster misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ives lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Monster has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Monster and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ives throws a shot from downtown. Monster moves away and avoids it.

Ives clinches.
Ives misses with a short punch on the inside.
Monster's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Monster lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ives backwards.
Monster scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ives is trying to stall.
Monster blocks the elbow strike.
Ives lands a left hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A right hook to the body lands for Ives.

Monster pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from Monster misses.

Monster moves away from the strike by Ives.
Ives scoring well with a low kick there.
Monster fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ives finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Monster circles away from the clinch attempt.
Monster lands a slapping body shot.
Monster defending well as Ives loads up on a big left hand.
Ives is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Some bone on bone action there as Monster checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ives lands a slapping body shot.
Ives fakes the leg kick and cracks Monster in the body.
Ives doesn't manage to clinch there - Monster circles away.
Ives will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Monster blocks a jab.

Ives digs a good body shot into Monster's ribs.
Monster moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Ives checks a low kick from Monster.
Nice shot lands for Ives.

Monster is rocked!
Ives closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Monster out cold! Monster corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
