Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kuras Quraisi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ripkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kuras Quraisi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Ripkin!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ripkin clinches with his opponent.
Ripkin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Quraisi is defending well for now.

Ripkin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Ripkin.

Ripkin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Quraisi to the ground. Ripkin is now in Quraisi's guard.
Ripkin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ripkin is looking to work some ground and pound but Quraisi has wrist control.
Ripkin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Ripkin with a flurry of punches that miss.

Ripkin drops back looking for a leg! Quraisi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Quraisi manages to kick Ripkin off! Ripkin jumps back into Quraisi's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ripkin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ripkin working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Ripkin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ripkin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Ripkin throwing strikes from guard but Quraisi blocks nicely.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ripkin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Quraisi working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ripkin.
Ripkin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Quraisi is breathing heavily.
Ripkin with a nice head shot there.
Ripkin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Ripkin postures up and lands a big shot to Quraisi's brow.

Ripkin stands up from Quraisi's guard - Ripkin perhaps looking for a knockout.
Quraisi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ripkin fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Quraisi scores with the left hand. Ripkin knows he should have avoided that one.

Ripkin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Quraisi is trying to defend but Ripkin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ripkin is nestled in close to Quraisi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Quraisi is defending against the submission attempts here by Ripkin.
Quraisi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Quraisi is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Ripkin dominated that round.
That's time! Quraisi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ripkin forces Quraisi back against the cage and clinches.
Quraisi prevents a takedown attempt there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quraisi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Ripkin works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Ripkin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Quraisi has momentary wrist control but Ripkin slips an elbow through the middle.
Ripkin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Quraisi is keeping the position for now.
Quraisi is looking to stand up but Ripkin isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ripkin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Ripkin stands up over Quraisi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ripkin is looking to work some ground and pound but Quraisi has wrist control.
Ripkin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ripkin is working Quraisi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Ripkin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Quraisi's head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Quraisi is rocked!

Ripkin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Oh Quraisi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ripkin gets to his feet and stands over Quraisi, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Quraisi felt that one! Ripkin unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Quraisi from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Ripkin!
