Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axel Whitecoat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whitecoat is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Seven Nation Army. John Connor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Connor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Axel Whitecoat! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Connor rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Connor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Connor is looking to clinch but Whitecoat is avoiding it.
Connor throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Whitecoat blocks a jab. Connor misses with a hook. Whitecoat ducked under it nicely. Connor tries to clinch but Whitecoat is having none of it. Whitecoat moves into range and connects with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Connor misses with a straight right. Whitecoat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Connor was well out of range. Poor timing from Whitecoat. Whitecoat misses with a double jab.
Whitecoat waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Connor. Whitecoat takes a shot right to the bread basket. Whitecoat swings for the body but Connor moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Connor scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Connor throwing shots but Whitecoat is blocking nicely. Connor throwing shots but Whitecoat is blocking nicely. Connor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Whitecoat keeps working. The fighters are battling for position here. Whitecoat manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Connor scoring with punches to the head and body. Whitecoat is trying to keep Connor in close.
Whitecoat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Connor engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Connor wants to control from the top but Whitecoat keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whitecoat is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Connor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Whitecoat pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Whitecoat moves into full mount! Connor won't be happy about that! Whitecoat scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Connor is trying desperately to improve position. BOOM! Whitecoat connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Connor is working to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whitecoat raining down shots from the mount!
Connor is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whitecoat misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Whitecoat is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Connor can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Whitecoat raining down shots from the mount! Oh Connor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Whitecoat tries to control but Connor wriggling away. Whitecoat postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Connor in real trouble here! The ref calls for Connor to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
