Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richie Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malik comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stronger kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richie Yang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mohammad Malik! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yang throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Malik looks to throw the jab but Yang is out of range. Malik moves into range and clinches up with Yang. Yang lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Mohammad Malik has been cut. Yang stalling.
Malik manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Yang keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Malik's head. Yang with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Malik is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yang defends well. Malik had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yang defends it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yang with a flurry of punches that miss. Yang in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Yang postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Yang throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Yang makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Yang cracks Malik with a solid left hand. Yang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Yang trying to control but Malik is working from the bottom. Yang working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Malik keeping full guard, as Yang tries to pass. Malik utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Yang scoring with some ground and pound. Yang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Malik lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Yang! Malik jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Yang manages to avoid the submission attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yang is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Malik off and has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is taking a good look at Malik as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Yang!
You can see the frustration on Malik's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Yang gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Yang has the hooks in. Malik is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Yang scoring with big shots to the body. Malik is looking for a way out. A despairing look towards the ref and the official steps in to stop the fight. Malik was obviously done but didn't want to tap out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richie Yang! In his post fight interview, Richie Yang gave a big smile as he said 'BOOM! I love fighting.
