Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fred Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Berry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Face in the Sand. Mark Berry is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fred Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Berry! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
A big right from Jones misses. Berry takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Jones scores with a punch to the head. Berry tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Berry is looking to clinch. Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Berry wants to clinch and Jones counters with a nice kick to the body. Berry misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Berry rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Berry lands with a shot to the body. Berry lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Jones throws a wild body kick that Berry sees coming a mile off. Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Berry pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Jones slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Fred Jones just wasn't active enough. Berry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Berry does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice shot by Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Berry lands a right hook to the body.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Berry stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Berry tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Berry looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. Jones shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Jones lands with a good body shot. Berry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Berry. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones throws a lazy right hand but Berry sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Nice defenses there by Berry. Berry closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Berry misses with an elbow strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mark Berry is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Berry takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Berry dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jones slips a jab and a cross from Berry.
Berry slips under a jab. Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Berry was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones. Berry ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Berry throws a shot to the body.
Jones misses the jab. Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Berry checks a leg kick nicely. Jones scores with a jab. Berry acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Berry misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming. Jones connects with an inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Berry looks to land a left hand but Jones moved out of range nicely. Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Berry circles away quickly and effectively. Berry tries to clinch up. Jones on the wrong end of a nice jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Berry takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jones misses the shot to the body. Berry is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Jones throws a shot from downtown. Berry moves away and avoids it. Berry jabbing away but nothing is landing. Berry looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. A nice leg kick lands there from Jones. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones moves away from the strike by Berry. Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Berry stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jones throws a leg kick but Berry sees it coming and moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Berry connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard. Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jones postures up in Berry's guard and throws a big left but Berry blocks it. Berry utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones is stalling in the full guard. Berry is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jones looking to pass the guard. Jones sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jones throwing strikes but missing. Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jones stands and throws Berry's legs to the side, diving into side control. Berry is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Berry tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. The fighters circle momentarily. Berry darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jones fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Berry is out of range. A clash of legs there as Berry blocks the low kick. Berry on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jones misses with an uppercut. Berry saw that one coming. Berry moves to clinch but Jones breaks away and Jones counters with an inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones delivers a nice body kick. Berry swings and misses with a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones tries to work over Berry's front leg with a kick but Berry checks it. Jones slips a jab from Berry. Berry misses with a right hand and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Berry on his heels. He'll look to pass Berry's guard now, I'm sure. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Berry swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Berry keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fred Jones dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Jones looks to land a body kick but Berry moved away. Berry throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jones throws a leg kick which misses Berry's front leg but catches the back leg as Berry tries to avoid it. Berry lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jones at a distance.

and Jones counters with a good, hard body kick but Berry shrugs it off. Berry gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jones misses with a short punch on the inside. Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Berry uses good head movement to avoid it. Berry scores with a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones has Berry pushed against the cage. Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Berry wants to stall.
Jones is trying to trip Berry. He has hold of a leg but Berry is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Jones engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Jones trying to control but Berry is working from the bottom. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Berry is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is stalling in the full guard. Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Berry for as long as he can get away with.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Fred Jones just wasn't active enough. Jones lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Berry takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Berry connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Berry doesn't seem bothered though. Berry lands a body shot.
Berry throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range. Berry has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Berry there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jones gets the takedown into side control. Berry tries to get back to half guard but can't. Berry wants to get back to his feet but Jones drags him back down. Berry parries the strikes from Jones easily there. Jones is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Berry to escape.
Jones is staying tight to Berry's torso, preventing him from escaping. Fred Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fred Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Fred Jones has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Well, if Jones is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Fred Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
