Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Mr White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Colmen!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Colmen. That one must have hurt.
Colmen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
White throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Colmen on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Colmen throws an overhand right that lands on White's shoulder, as White tries to avoid the shot.
White tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
White throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
White fails with an attempt to clinch.
Colmen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Colmen needs to keep his hands up - White had a free shot at his head there.
Colmen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

White gets a clinch.
Colmen tries to work over White's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
White wants a takedown but no success here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A head punch on the inside from White fails to land.
Colmen softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Colmen avoids a wild elbow strike from White.
Knees in the clinch landing for Colmen.
Colmen tries to work over White's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
White prevents Colmen from breaking the clinch.
Colmen lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down White.
Colmen dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Colmen has White pressed against the cage, preventing White from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
White lands a nice knee to the body.

White has hold of one of Colmen's legs. Colmen is fighting the takedown attempt but White gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Colmen working for a triangle but White defends it easily.
White tries to free his leg and advance position but Colmen is retaining full guard.

Colmen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
White postures up.
Colmen keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully.
Colmen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
White passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Colmen tries to roll over but White keeps him under control.
Colmen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
White is looking to work some ground and pound but Colmen has wrist control.
White is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Colmen looking for a sweep. Not yet Colmen, not yet.
Colmen controls White momentarily but White frees himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Colmen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Colmen throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Colmen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
White throws a big elbow that misses.
White is pushing down on Colmen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Colmen is fighting to maintain full guard but White has managed to sneak the leg through.
Colmen wants to get back to full guard.
Ground and pound from White.
White is thwarting Colmen's attempts to control the position.
White seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
White working the head and body with strikes.
Colmen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of White's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take White's back!
White breaks Colmen's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

White trying to control the position from guard on top but Colmen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
White landing some decent shots from guard.
White sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Colmen's guard.
White working over Colmen with some ground and pound. Colmen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Colmen works his way to full guard. Good work.

Colmen has his foot on White's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. White works his way back into a safe position though.
White wants to pass the guard but Colmen is keeping the position.
White throwing strikes but missing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Colmen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in White's guard.

White has his foot on Colmen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Colmen works his way back into a safe position though.
White tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mr White will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


White looks to throw the jab but Colmen is out of range.
White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A looping hook to the body misses from Colmen. White does a little dance to reset his feet.
White scores with a crisp jab that stopped Colmen in his tracks.
White is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Nice straight punches there by Colmen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Colmen.
Colmen misses with an uppercut. White saw that one coming.
Colmen tries to land a front kick but White steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
White throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
White misses with an attempted mid kick.
White with a poor takedown
and White takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
White looks to land a combination but Colmen avoids it well.
White ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Colmen.
Colmen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but White moves away.
Colmen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from White.
Colmen scores with a three punch combo!
The fight stays on the outside here - White looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
White closes the distance but Colmen moves to the side
enabling Colmen to counter with a crisp jab.


White is rocked!
White throws a lazy uppercut
and Colmen counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Oh White is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
White doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Colmen counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
