The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kersikov stuffs the takedown attempt from Winner. Winner gets slowly back to his feet. Kersikov shoots in for a double leg but Winner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Winner scores with a takedown into Kersikov's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kersikov wants to sweep here but Winner controlling him for the moment. Winner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Winner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kersikov controls Winner momentarily but Winner frees himself. Winner wants to control from the top but Kersikov keeps moving. But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Winner, into his guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Winner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Life Winner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boyka Kersikov. Kersikov fails with a takedown attempt. Kersikov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Winner quickly recovers to half guard. Kersikov is stalling here. Winner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kersikov seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Winner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Winner working the ground and pound from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kersikov trying to remain calm as Winner controls from the top position. Kersikov defending against the ground and pound. Winner fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Winner works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Winner is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Kersikov will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Kersikov is trying to control Winner's posture but Winner avoids it. Winner cracks Kersikov with an elbow. That is naaassty. Winner lands a few punches from side control. Kersikov taking punishment in the form of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Winner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kersikov, who protects the arm well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Winner postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kersikov gets back to half guard. Winner is looking for a kimura but Kersikov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Winner to get the leverage. Winner thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kersikov is looking for a sweep. Winner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kersikov trying to control here.
Kersikov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Winner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Winner's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kersikov throwing sloppy strikes. Winner tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Kersikov working for a submission but Winner is keeping him at bay. Kersikov looking to control but Winner is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kersikov cracks Winner with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Winner tries to lock up and control but Kersikov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Winner regains half guard. Winner is refusing to be controlled, as Kersikov sits in half guard. Winner looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kersikov working the head and body with strikes. Kersikov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Winner defend it? Kersikov steps over the head and cranks it - Winner is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kersikov!
