PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jin Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Demian Silva!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks to land a combination. Kim sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Silva scores with a spinning back kick!
Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing.
Kim tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kim somewhat.
Kim shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Silva throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kim on the side of the head.
Silva shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kim eats them both and turns towards Silva to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Jin Kim has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva lands a really nice looking cross but Kim seems unphased.
That kick from Silva tenderised Kim's leg. Kim is trying to keep his angry face on.

Kim drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Demian Silva has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Kim takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kim gets slowly back to his feet.

Kim changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Kim manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
