The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christmas throws a body punch but Caputi moves out of range.
Luca Caputi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christmas scores with a shot to the body.
Caputi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Christmas swivels and escapes.
Caputi shoots in but Christmas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Caputi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Christmas tries to avoid it but Caputi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Christmas to the ground. Christmas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luca Caputi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Caputi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Christmas tries to avoid it but Caputi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Christmas to the ground. Christmas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Caputi shoots in but no luck this time.
Caputi shoots in and drives through. Christmas sprawls well.
Caputi fails with a takedown attempt.

BOOM! Christmas lands a beautiful left hook that drops Caputi. Caputi tries to recover but Christmas is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Caputi lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
